BIORING participated at IFIB – International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy 2026: two days of conversations, insights and perspectives on bio-based solutons.

The event in Rome brought together companies, researchers, startups, investors and policymakers working to advance European industrial biotechnology and the circular bioeconomy, with an eye on geopolitics, competitors and potential partners.

Thanks to everyone who visited the BIORING booth, engaged with our demos, explored our bio-based coating platform, and shared ideas, it was clear that interest in bio-based coatings is rising.

Our Project Coordinator, Nicole Dölker from CSIC, presented how BIORING’s modular approach can tailor bio-based coatings to different processing and application needs, opening new conversations around collaboration, upscaling and future industrial applications.

Alongside our partners from AIRI and Gaiker, at the booth and during the poster sessions and B2B meetings we had great opportunities to connect research with industry and identify new possibilities for cooperation.
